Shoot Em Down Weapons Drawn

All the weapons that the player are holding have been finally drawn out. Took a while but it is done. Here are a few screen shots of what has been drawn ^^

Then next think to do will be coding the weapons to fire. Then coding and balancing out the waves. And the store where you can buy new weapons and upgrade the ones that you own. I am also planning a nice title screen where you can play with a rag doll, by flicking it around! ^^

Shoot Em Down Status

Hi everyone, here’s a little update on where Shoot Em Down is at. Whats done right now is all of the gun images and icons. The weapon selection system is finished, you just have to tap the player and drag to select a new gun. The coins and their physics are finished. All that’s left to do is code the weapons, the store, add waves to the game, and make a nice title screen. Oh yeah, and weapon upgrades of course! ^^ That’s pretty much it, it’s going to take a while, but in the end it will be worth it!

Shoot Em Down Weapons

Hmm, I finally got to drawing out the weapons for Shoot Em Down ^^ I drew out a pistol, shotgun, and a machine gun. I also wrote some code for drawing the laser. Here are the weapons:

Also, here is a teaser shot for the laser…I know he’s holding a rocket launcher and firing his laser at the same time. ^^ I’ll fix that later.

Prototype And Other Stuff

I’ve been doing some work on the physics prototype I made. I decided that it will be a game where you tap and drag to launch balls at the incoming enemy vehicles. All of the incoming vehicles will have a red button that you will have to hit to destroy it. The enemies may have their button slightly covered, so you will have to hit it at a certain angle in order to hit it. Here’s a little drawing of what I mean.

I also did a bit of work on Shoot Em Down. I got gray scale versions of the power ups done, and added them into the game. The next thing to do would be drawing the miniature weapons for the stick figure player to hold.

A Little Prototype

Here’s a little side project that i have been working on. Its a physics based target practice game. You can tap and drag anywhere in the dark blue area and release to shoot a ball. There will be targets(incoming tanks, ect..) that will come in from the left side of the screen. You have to kill them before they get to the dark blue area, or else you loose. You cant see much from the screen shot, so click it to watch the youtube video. ^^

Code Grey Update

I got around to working on Code Grey again…got a basic scrolling camera system working. Haven’t been able to do much work on Shoot Em Down yet, but big updates are planned. ^^ Right now the camera just centers in on the player, but later on I’m hoping to get a more advanced camera system up. You can’t tell much from the screen shot, but here it is anyway.

Code Grey

Here’s a new game that I’ve been working on with a friend (Jay, you can follow him on twitter http://twitter.com/jay21art he also has a blog which you can access at http://scifiwasabi.tumblr.com/). It is going to be a platform-style game with metroid-style gameplay. Development is coming along smoothly, we have got a lot done in the past few days. I don’t want to reveal much about the game now, but in the meantime, here’s a teaser screen shot :D

Shoot Em Down Update

I’ve been really busy with school among other things, but managed to get some work in on the game. :D Right now I’m working on coding the weapon selection screen. I’m thinking of having all the icons shaded in grey, and the one that’s closest to your finger be in color. It will also show the ammo count somewhere near the icon, cant decide where at the moment. I’m working on and arc drawing algorithm to go between the power ups, not having much success on that. That’s it for this post, here’s a screen shot until my next one. The weapons starting at the top and going clockwise are the pistol, shotgun, machine gun, and laser.

Shoot Em Down

Hey everyone, I guess this is my first “real” post (hello world doesn’t count :P ) I’ve been really busy lately, doing lots of work for all of my apps(I’m working on another one with a friend). Right now for Shoot Em Down, I’m adding new weapons such as a pistol, shotgun, machine gun, and a laser! I just finished adding a coin/point system that you can buy upgrades with, and you can see a video of it in action here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iB5-vW9Ifzs I’m also designing/programming the store for the upgrades…I will have the player be able to buy new weapons, and after that they will have the option of buying more ammo (sorry guys, no infinite ammo). In the mean time, here’s what I was thinking of doing for the weapon selection system:
